Expensive but worth it!

Item arrived on time and as described. The product has a lifespan of 10 years. Mine expires in July 2029. I used YouTube to program it into my controlled alarm system. Save money and program it with You Tube, it's not hard at all. The only thing I don't like is the price, $100 is pretty expensive but the security you get is priceless.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Communication with seller

Easy to install? Yes! but.

You also need to know how the control panel recognizes the sensors after they are installed. There is a video on YouTube showing how to do it. We decided to call an emergency company and watched the technician to see what he was doing. Just like the video on YouTube. If we need to install again, we are sure that we can do it ourselves.

Added mind part.

I'm glad I was finally able to add a carbon monoxide detector to our home alarm system. We've been using plug-in carbon monoxide detectors, but adding them to the main alarm only makes our family safer. Good installation instructions made installation easier. Remember that the described procedure for registering a detector in an alarm system places it in loop 4. It MUST be in loop 1. You need to change it in loop 1.

This device has a sensor lifetime of 10 years.

I have used Honeywell products for many years. Their quality is consistent and they are easy to install and program in Honeywell alarm systems. This product used to have a sensor lifespan of 7 years, now it's 10 years. This means that this device must be replaced every 7 years. Now it has to be replaced every 10 years. This is an improvement in customer savings. Thank you Honeywell.

Works as advertised. The price is insane for fantasy.

Works as advertised. The price of a fancy fire alarm is insane, but $90 is still cheaper than what the alarm company was offering. Another major disadvantage is that it requires programming with Honeywell central panels. The current panels seem very easy to program, but the old ones weren't that easy. Older ones require you to pull the battery tab on the detector for it to work. Then on the control panel, find the old one in the list. From there you simply change the serial number of the…

Will not connect to your existing alarm system

I purchased this replacement a few months ago and it is the same model as before. It installed perfectly on the ceiling but I had error code 22 on my panel for several months and today I finally tried to fix it. A signal company is required for installation. It's impossible to do it yourself, and if you've switched signaling companies, they won't do it at all. So the $100 I spent on it is a waste, but not really. It still detects carbon monoxide, so technically it works. But if it worked, it…
