Good product but for special needs. No universal solution.

I like this device, but it was developed for very specific needs. It doesn't have a hose or modular attachments like a handheld vacuum or handheld vacuum, so you can't use it to reach corners, stairs, or upholstery. But it has good suction, it's cordless so it's easy to grip, and it has three brushroll options: Carpet, Hard Floor, and Off, which is great for picking up dirt from hard floors at a lower speed, or vacuuming delicate carpets without brush roller. It doesn't have a light which is a…

Short list - pros and a few cons

Pros: Impressive suction power, vacuuming is now a pleasure, light weight, well balanced, EZ service on all filters. A very large carpeted entertainment room, a carpeted hallway, a very wide and long staircase and most of the master bedroom (approximately 18 x 18 feet) were removed at full price. It's so light that you can suck it up in less time. No voltage. Excellent carpets. Worth it alone. Great for tight spots that our 15-inch width couldn't reach either. Cons: Keep an eye on the dirt…

This is my second Hoover Linx. I had an older model and it just recently broke after 3 years of daily use. I find it durable for a vacuum of this size and price. I bought this vacuum because I have a labrador retriever who sheds a lot and also a little one who likes to make a mess and I want to keep our floors clean. While I have a large canister vacuum that works well, I wanted something that I could very quickly and easily walk around the house or use for a little cleaning. That was the…

Great little vacuum cleaner, but there are flaws.

What a great little vacuum cleaner. I bought my first Linx vacuum in 2013. I bought a branded model in May this year. Still have both. Both work great in a typical home environment. We use this vacuum cleaner in a 2100 sq. feet, with mostly wooden floors, and it gets the job done. This model seems to be a little quieter than the 2013 model, but works just as well. Working time? I always carry a spare battery or two with me so I can vacuum the whole house without having to stop to wait for a…
