I would be really mad at you for buying a universal kit and cutting through the stock wiring harness with those stupid clips when you could just buy it plug and play. This is so easy to install and so much cleaner once you're done installing that there's absolutely no reason why you shouldn't buy this for your Subaru.

This kit was perfect for my 2003 Baja! There was some difficulty when removing the protective plug from the manufacturer connection (just behind the rear passenger wheel). Then we connected this kit directly and tied the zipper to the clutch. Perfect wire length! This 48 year old woman with limited use of my left side completed the installation with ease. :-)

I make and work on all my cars. This is by far the easiest and nicest trailer hitch I've ever installed for a mile. A Subaru was smart enough to pre-wire the connector with all the wires needed to connect the wiring harness. Unplug the connector that requires some effort from the Subaru wiring harness, plug it in and some zip ties and I also bought a fitting kit and you have an OEM factory fit. great product

The description and the compatibility with the car are correct. The wiring at the converter was poorly done. Less than a year after installation, the shell corroded, shorting out the wiring in the system. This blew several fuses in my car and eventually caused my alternator to fail prematurely, requiring towing home and several dollars in labor and repairs on multiple systems. Pretty disastrous considering the simplicity of this part.

The wiring harness was installed and worked well on 2 tugs. Installed it even in a month. My previous machines had Hopkins and had no problems for many years. Then last night my taillights didn't work and this morning I changed the fuse and the wiring harness caught fire! After I removed the wiring harness, my machine was back in normal working order.
