Doesn't look like pictured. Works well, but takes some getting used to.

Brake control works well. It wasn't like the picture. In fact I sent the first one back thinking they sent me the wrong one. But when the second came, he looked just like the first. So my guess is that they changed the look but not the image. Mine didn't have an up and down arrow to adjust the brake. Instead, mine has a dial on the side. In addition, the green light is always on and does not change. There isn't really an indicator to tell you how you're voting, it just comes by feel. It…

Saved us from a nightmare

Installed this unit directly on our 25ft RV. On our second trip, the car slammed on the brakes right in front of us (then swerved right out of the left lane). I was able to apply those brakes manually and came to a smooth, controlled stop. Less than 100 miles later we approached a musty yellow light at a long intersection and pulled into a new red light with little room to stop. Just press the brake pedal, apply the trailer brakes and we came to a gentle stop again. I love this controller so…

Works great on a 2004 f150

At first I thought my unit was junk as it wasn't braking the trailer as hard as it used to. But I quickly discovered that my new dealer installed trailer wiring harness had the trailer brake wire disconnected. I routed the cable and it works fine. It can be a bit jerky under light load or empty as it "gradually" fires harder, but you get what you pay for. works perfectly. With Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Control Connector 47715 for Ford 1994-2008 It was as easy as plug and play in my F150. It…

Pros
  • Excellent overall specs

Trailer Accessories Discount

It's funny how I see people complaining that they get a model that looks better than the one pictured. The model is slightly different from the photo above as it has a thumb roll and brake test button. At this price, however, this thing is a steal. Local auto parts stores sell them for $60.99. I've used one of these for years with no crashes or problems. LED light is easy to understand. Installation is easy. The product itself is simple, which means reliability. I bought two more of these as I…

3 very bad warehouse deals :(

Insight, Agility and Stopping Power Bought from Warehouse Deal. Insight - Good condition; Stopping Power - Like new condition and returned to Revain Most items looked unused apart from (1) this person madly glued a mounting bracket to the 'old' control module (so I couldn't install it anymore); (2) this person took all the assembly line to install the new control and display module so I could nothing to install; (3) the display (from previous use) was dirty with some kind of solvent so it's not

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Reliability
