Manufacturing issue

Some of these stainless steel pipe nipples have short threads. This means they don't have enough thread length to actually engage cone fittings that are manufactured to be NPT rated. I have several 3/4" and 1/2" stainless steel pipe nipples that cannot be fully tightened with stainless steel elbows, couplers, etc. That means I need to find a plumber who can thread in the right size nipples.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Very uneven cut

I ordered everything together in multiple orders: 3 x 4" x 1/2" NPT and 2 x 2" x 1/2" NPT. Unfortunately, they are cut inconsistently, which takes a lot of time to fix issues that shouldn't be there. Just to give an example, with the same female threat I was able to hand rotate one about 3 turns and the other only half a turn. When cut well they work well, but I don't like playing the lottery. that I'll be "good".

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick start guide

Poor quality and marriage

Defect with a hairline crack. I assembled the pipe and valves by hand, increased the pressure in the line and saw a stable drop. The dripping got worse as I tightened, at which point I noticed there was a crack at the pipe nipple. This is of lower quality and as others have pointed out the threads are not NPT compliant. My valve was seated against the nipple thread with minimal torque. Properly milled pipe threads taper and tighten with each turn. Multiple threads should remain visible if…

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
