This is a cheap tool keep that in mind. It gets the job done on the pocket, although not ideal for damaging the rest of the glove. I just ripped two gloves and they didn't break so it was worth it. However, it should be one of the few tools you use. Otherwise, get one shaped like a little bat.

I blew a Pro 44 Pro Stiff glove with this thing for about a month. The head isn't going anywhere and works great! Anyway, I probably hit my glove too hard with it. But you just have so much control over how you break in your glove - it really isn't a problem.

An essential tool for breaking in gloves. The smooth ball is lighter on the skin than homemade versions of the stick ball. REMOVES a lot of gloves with this thing, HEAVY. No sign of weakening of the end of the ball. The nice smooth finish allows you to wipe away dark streaks of paint before working with lighter colored gloves (tip: Murphy's Oil Soap will clean them like new). I wish the handle was a few inches longer.

Essential for breaking in a new glove. Lubricate the glove with oil and then hit it hard with a hammer 40 or 50 times and you've got a perfect bag in an instant. I wish I had one of these growing up. Using this product will significantly reduce the time it takes to break in a new glove. Instead of playing ball for hours, you can do it anywhere and it doesn't take long at all.

My teenager used this for weeks to beat his (super tough) Wilson A2000 glove in submission. It helps so much! He found that this glove wore out much quicker than he expected. We had no issues with durability at all. Looks very durable and can really take a beating. We had transferred some black paint from the glove to the hammer ball, but it immediately scraped off with no problem. Highly recommend for baseball families!

A few years ago when my kids were toddlers I bought a new baseball glove to replace the one I had in high school. I struggled to break it properly, especially for the ring and middle fingers.
