Worth every penny. I've never had a better drill or hole saw. It always went through 3/16 steel easily. Make sure you have a good pilot hole or deep hit so it doesn't wander around. I'm a metal worker and I have a lot of drill bit sets.

Pros: I was impressed with the neat box the knives came in. They cut very fast! Much better than the router bits I've used, especially for holes larger than 1/2 inch. I wish I had cutters that drill deeper holes. Bad: One of the cutting knives broke on the first day of use, only on the 7th. I drilled the hole. These are pretty expensive bits, that's why they break so easily. Maybe it was a broken bit? I haven't abused it.

This is a nice, well thought out kit with all the sizes you need most, from 5/16 to 1 1/2", two shafts and related parts. Simple instructions and, importantly, a table of recommended drill speeds are included so I can use known speed settings and pilot drill bits.) The 3/4" cuts well and makes a little bird's nest of fine shavings. 1 1/2" was bumpy - the cut would no doubt be smoother if I could increase the pressure, but the torque required was too much for my 3/4 hp drill and it stalled. 1/4"
