plastic waste. in Table and Shelf Clock

I've lived by the sea all my life and thought it would be nice to buy a nice tide watch for my kids. This watch looks like it's worth about ten bucks on a good day. I thought it was silver and would last a long time. it's cheap and plastic. Really not worth 90€! INSANE. Not even a battery cover. Too bad I didn't read the other reviews. Go ahead and get the real one!

I got mine as a gift about 5 years ago and she recently passed away. Fresh batteries didn't revive him. HOWEVER, it held up well over this long period of high tide with small incremental adjustments months apart and with only a few batteries. I'm looking to buy another one and was surprised by the negative reviews suggesting there are some bad apples in the batch but THIS IS MADE IN CHINA so it's come a long way for what it's worth. A $75 watch that lasts about a year and is beyond repair. You don't want to buy this product.

Tide Mate worked fine for about a year then movement stopped. I have changed many movements in my life. The secret is to find the exact movement. So I searched the Howard Miller website for a replacement movement, they have a list of watches and their respective movements. They also have plenty of gears available for around $10. Since this is a $75 device, $10 would be a worthwhile investment. Since I couldn't find Tide Mate in the list, I looked for a support email or a contact email or phone…

Attractive but missing important details

The tide clock is attractive and well made. This is an interesting alternative to the smaller brass options that have a more nautical feel. The box was missing two pieces: the battery cover and the 'included' battery (as stated on the box). I returned the product as used and received a replacement that was not only missing these two identical pieces but also had a scratch on the front.
