The only one I will use!

I'll only use the filter! I liked that there is a bypass and a check valve. Big size means more surface area to filter. Unscrewing the nut is useless and rounds off easily, but who cares when it filters well!

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • A little loose change

Overall high quality filter

I use this filter on a classic Buick I have and am impressed with its quality. My only complaint is that the removable nut tends to round out and as this filter is not serrated I have to resort to a strap wrench.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Updates available

Manufactured in the USA in 2020 with Oil Filter Wrenches

These filters have been manufactured by different companies over the years. The ones I received recently are made in the USA and are excellent quality, just like the good old days. The only thing I'll run on my '66. Thick body, nice looking filter material, silicone ADV.

Pros
  • GOLS Certified
Cons
  • Zero

Not as easy as expected

Great idea to be able to put a ratchet on the end but not very suitable. The nest keeps sliding as if it wasn't enough to hold on to. Again, I don't remember having that many problems last time, so maybe the metal stamping doesn't match.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • Not trendy

I like k&n but this filter didn't work

I wouldn't give him a star if he would let me. $15 for a filter that almost destroyed my 350 rocket in a '73 cutlass I've been changing my own oil for years. That filter failed and I lost almost 2 liters driving around in one day. When I checked under the car, it was leaking out of the case and into the filter area. Took it off and put it back on. Same leak. Good thing I checked the oil level the next day and saw that it was very low. Not happy at all. Expensive and bad. Almost broke my engine.

Pros
  • Builds confidence
Cons
  • Hard to say

K&N American Made is still the best!

I've been using a K&N oil filter in my classic car for a few years and I think it's the best out there. It was originally recommended to me by some "old hands" in the hobby and they were "on hand". I ride my "baby" knowing my engine will be protected. Build quality, fit and finish are definitely a sign of a quality product. Even the filter I removed after a year of riding looked brand new - too bad to throw away! Revain came up with the best price available and fast shipping. My specific filter

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time
