I didn't want to be blown away, I just wanted good quality, smooth, light, reasonably attractive and light (no, I don't mean my taste in men). I bought it thinking it would be great for Xbox and PC gaming, but when I got it the lack of 1080p really ruined it for me. If you play games at 1080p this monitor isn't for you, although it's a great looking monitor it's only really annoying because the Xbox doesn't have an aspect ratio for it. Very important. Limited to VGA or DVI input but good value for money. Adjusting clear and bright is very easy, but you can get a very sharp picture. Power Save puts the monitor into sleep mode when there is no signal. I actually bought two of these to work with dual monitors.

When my 10 year old Dell desktop died, I replaced it with a new Lenovo H430 and HP S2031 monitor, which I thought was great - and it is. After 3 months Staples had sold a Lenovo H430 computer that I couldn't refuse so I bought it as a backup. I tried to find another HP S2031 but it was no longer available. I checked Revain.com and found the HP 2011x with exceptional reviews so I bought it. The reviews weren't wrong. It's a great monitor and it even tilts; something the S2031 doesn't do.

I was looking for a monitor with a native resolution of 1600x900 (because I'm used to it) and also didn't want to spend a fortune to replace a broken 20" widescreen monitor and this one fit the description. The display is bright and clear. I was glad it was packaged very well and there were no dead pixels. The base has tilt adjustment, however the base has no height adjustment and the base is a little flimsy. For the price this is a great monitor.

No mounting points/holes/bracket. I have installed 12 LCD panels of all sizes and brands in my office and this is literally the only panel without a mounting point. Probably works great, didn't even bother to take it out of the plastic after the opening mentioned above. Returned.

I use 3 monitors for work. Two of them started to fail (should be around 7 years old). I decided to try hp2011x to test its readability (I write software for a living). I like the monitor enough to replace the other two. I am planning to rotate three monitors but I have found that the back of the HP2011x does not have a standard hole pattern so I cannot use the standard brackets to hold this monitor in the rotated position.

The monitor offers very good value for money and comes with a stand that fits nicely on a desk. I would like to use a better stand with more adjustment options, but this requires 4 screws on the back that attach to the plate. Most monitors have them. I didn't see it in the description and 3 photos don't show the back of the monitor. I had to do more research. Bad.

My husband and I decided to buy this monitor for our old but damn computer. We've had it for two weeks now and the quality is excellent! It looks aesthetically pleasing, which is a big plus! These are very good monitors! very clear very good. We use 3 on every table here in accounting. We look at them all day, so a good clear screen is very important! The only negative I can say is that they have NO space on the back of the monitor to add a monitor stand mount.
