HP is the worst company when it comes to ink cartridges you pay for. This is the last cartridge I will buy for my HP inkjet printer as I am tired of being ripped off by them. These guys charge $60 for a printer and then want you to pay half that price every time you use the printer. I literally print about 30 pages before the printer tells me the ink is empty. I bought these cartridges a few weeks ago because my printer ran out of ink. It eventually ran out, so I tried installing new cartridges. New cartridges do not work. The printer says the cartridges are defective and should be replaced. I put the old cartridges back in and they still work (although the print quality is poor as the ink is running out). I don't know what happened here, but the color ink cartridge is not working. I plug it in without touching the copper part and my printer immediately says it's not installed. I've researched this a bit and it might be a new issue with my printer that I'll have to investigate when I actually have some free time, but as this is only the third time I've installed a new cartridge I don't know , as it may be a printer error. so frustrating

Seems others have had the same problem as me. I have had an HP Envy 5530 for five years and have ALWAYS used an HP 61 prior to this order. When trying to install it it just repeated 'not compatible with printer' so I had to call Revain to get a refund. Sent it back and hope I don't have to send the next one back; It was very frustrating and I need a printer. Works great with my HP Envy 5530. I've read many reviews that this combo pack (black and tri color) doesn't work on some printers. When I then entered my printer's model number into Amazon, I was told that it was not compatible with my printer. If I could give them 0 ratings I would. Bought these cartridges less than a month ago. When I removed the orange plastic tape from the black and tri-color cartridges, it was impossible to remove. The tape has cured and is permanently attached to the cartridge. Tried with tweezers and cuticles to no avail. Therefore the cartridges are absolutely useless; and now I have to go to the trouble of getting her back somehow. But how can I print a damn label without a working printer?

Purchased May 1st thinking I would need them for my sons Christmas decorations. The opening lasted only a month. Black was opened, made of foil. There was a piece of tape, and it's actually blank. The color wasn't even in the box. When I looked at the box I saw that it was sealed with a piece of tape and I realized someone else had returned it. Now I have to spend more money on ink because it was just a plagiarism.
