Do not buy this printer

This printer is a piece of junk. All functions on it never worked properly. I've never been able to copy any of it. It was printing documents from my laptop (which is mostly what I needed it for) with a bunch of issues, and now it won't even do that and won't turn off. This is a very bad printer. Not worthy of the HP name. I had an HP printer that worked fine for a couple of years, but this one didn't even last three months.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Appearance

Complete garbage! Downgrade from 5510 instead of upgrade

Sorvi! It was well packaged but looked like it was broken or defective. Would only print part of it and when it was done it took a lot of fiddling with. The WiFi didn't work either. We've had the 5510 for years and it worked great, thought we'd upgrade when we bought the 5520. But no way. It's in a box in our garage and we bought a Canon from Walmart because returning large items is a hassle and in those cases they cost more than a new item. Just go to a store near you where you don't have to…

Pros
  • complete set
Cons
  • sad package

Terrible printer! Shame on me I bought a second HP Photosmart! The first was the 5510 and we liked it, it was easy to use but only lasted 2 years. Replaced this piece of junk with the next model and lasted 8 months. They no longer print a single packet of ink and black. Two calls to HP service, useless! No help and no offer to replace a product that is under warranty! When I asked to speak to a manager, the technician hung up. Not polite. But they also take their services abroad, so good luck…

  • New

  • Poor manual

Arrived quickly, well packaged. There are no problems.

Arrived quickly, well packaged. No problem. The problem was with the printer. And when I complained, Dave referred me to HP. They could have sold it but I had no responsibility, guidance or support from Dave other than that. The black ink is no longer printed. I spent almost a month trying to fix the problem myself. It worked, it didn't work. I ended up contacting HP support. It turned out"failure of the printhead". HP replaced the entire printer. Since printers aren't that expensive, I think…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • No instructions

This printer is complete junk. Just over a year later

HP Photosmart 5520 e-All-in-One Printer This printer sucks. A little over a year later, I recently had to replace my black ink cartridge and as a result was unable to print any documents at all! And now that it's over a year old I can't even get my money back. The only option I was offered was to pay HP $200 to fix my printer - that's the cost of a damn printer! Shame on HP, shame on Nairi Systems Inc. (the Revain company I bought it from) and shame on Revain for allowing such a crappy product…

Pros
  • Ease of use
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other models

This is a HP 5510 clone with some updates. I bought it so I wouldn't have to throw away $80 cartridges. Windows 10 Has Compatibility Issues, But Will It Still Work? The printer is no longer manufactured by HP. The device seemed to work normally for 5 months, then the copier and scanner died, the printer still worked. The paper feed never worked properly. Since it was still under warranty, HP is willing to replace it with a refurbished, supposedly equivalent Envy 5530 printer (also…

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
