Do not buy! Wrong size pipe can not be assembled, no instructions and late delivery

No installation instructions right out of the box. From the little damn picture I can get a pretty good idea of how this should be set up, but unfortunately even that didn't work because there's no way to have the right size pipe for the inlet valve or even the little blue element to prevent water flows in the wrong direction when power is removed. The reason I bought this set was so I didn't have to play any guessing games about what size hoses and manure would fit these filters and pumps…

So far so good :) fits aquarium pumps and filters

I got this for my betta's 10 gallon aquarium. He previously had a HOB filter and I was embarrassed that he pressed it. I wanted to simulate a more natural environment for him. It arrived quickly and was very easy to set up, although no instructions were included. I watched YouTube videos for some pointers. never mind Needless to say, I'm impressed. Ludwig wasn't actually dangling from the side of the tank that the HOB was hanging from. But now he can explore and enjoy his entire aquarium…

A simple but effective solution.

This filter is pretty darn simple and works great for the price. The sponge is very thin which I like and it actually sucks up quite well as I find most of the heavy debris in the gravel next to the sponges. The pump is a bit noisy although I don't have any others to compare it to so it might just be the standard. Disaster in your aquarium/house (e.g. flood, electrical problem, etc.). Wonderful workhorse of the sponge filter

I got this in addition to my canister filter to try to reduce maintenance and add even more biological filtration to my 55g goldfish tank and this sponge filter is a champ! Inexpensive but well made, with fine-pored foam, it made a noticeable difference in tank cleanliness. It's a gentle current, but it definitely attracts dirt, food, and other debris. The air bladders are the same as my previous Aerostone and hooking it up to my airline was very easy. I really like how I can adjust the height…

Works, much quieter and cheaper

I've always been on the verge of sponge filters, but now that I've expanded and have a lot of tanks, cooktops and canisters they're no longer viable from a maintenance or financial standpoint. In addition, you get both filtration and aeration in a solution made for powdered blue gourami fry and green cichlid fry that I farm. 40 gallon breeders, but it's still fine for bubble nests to do their thing.
