We installed 2 fans on the porch. You are fantastic. I recommend these fans for indoor and outdoor use. Also, the lights are NOT built-in LEDs. This means you don't have to replace the entire light kit if one LED burns out. Just change the lightbulb.

I am very pleased with this ceiling fan that I installed on our outdoor porch. It's beautiful and works well. I'm posting the photos because I got a question from a potential buyer who wanted to know what color the stripes are. They are not as dark as in the photo. More of a bluish grey, but very pretty.

This is a great fan, much better than the units it replaces. Stand by the ceiling fans and look forward to replacing the rickety unit in our bedroom. I wish it had multiple bulbs instead of just one, but it would still work very well in the space we chose it for. great fan

Designed with a lot of lag and found it didn't work. Correctly assembled. Called Hunter customer service and got really good help. Thorough checklist gone through, guy is very knowledgeable. With textured blades and quiet operation, this fan works great on our patio. In the hot, muggy Florida weather, he was out of breath without breaking a sweat. The air flow around the fan is really impressive and definitely cools down the patio making it bearable on hot summer days. Almost as if you no longer have to grill. Model 54148 Hunter 44 inch Cedar Key Ceiling Fan and Light - it's very nice, it's expensive but its looks suggest it's a top fan assembly. Haven't been able to replace it with my old device yet, but I'll update this review once it's been running for a while. It comes with a universal mounting system and looks quite simple. The benefit for me was that it's humid as I plan to use it on my back porch during the warmer months. The Hunter finish extends the life of the fan (in terms of looks).

Bought 3 of these ceiling fans. All 3 were broken. When running at high speed, they make a loud noise and tremble. Hunter fans said they were defective and agreed to a refund. They also informed me that this model was discontinued and gave me 4 replacement options. One cost $1,000 and I had to pay the difference. The remaining 3 were installed flush with the ceiling. I installed this fan to replace a 30 year old Hunter fan with a cracked blade. Our master said it's simple and easy to install. Since I didn't do it myself, I can't say much about this part. This is a very powerful fan that releases a lot of air. This makes the room very cozy. You can hear it, but there is no rattling and no different sound than what you would expect from a good fan.
