I installed this fan on a covered porch. I wanted something more modern, but not too modern. (not sure if that makes sense) That's great. We only used it twice because it got cold. So far, so good. The size looks good on my 10 x 10 porch screen. do the washing up. I would buy it again. I'll update next summer if it doesn't work.

This fan is perfect. If someone complains about the installation, they simply don't understand or have never installed a fan. That's easy. I bypassed it with the remote and the bowl is the perfect size to put the unit in. The fan looks cool, fits snugly to the ceiling, which is very important for a ceiling fan in a child's room, a small fan for a small room is quiet. I'm impressed with the price. The box was sealed when we received it and everything looked fine when we first opened the box so I thought nothing of it when I received it. However, during installation, several packages of equipment were opened, the blades unwound, and the wires severed. Thinking someone had changed their mind, I double-checked the hardware to make sure it was fine and that the wires that I cut off were long enough. I ordered two of these fans for a covered porch. The first Cassius fan is well built, doesn't wobble and produces good airflow for a 44 inch fan. However, the second fan of Cassius was in disarray. Several screw holes were "too narrow" to insert screws. I had to take a drill and clean/enlarge the holes to insert the screws.
