Worked great on a 2006 Prius

UPDATE (less than a year later): One of the bulbs has burned out/has stopped working. Changed to one star. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Got 8k bulbs to replace those terrible Phillips brands supplied by Toyota. Excellent quality, fits like Phillips bulbs and the extra brightness eliminates the lack of light normally associated with standard bulbs. Let's see how long they last.

  • Dope 🔥

Great for the price

Took about 1 year. I blame less the bulb than the ballast. I had an OEM version that lasted 1.5 years so 1 year less is a lot better. I ended up replacing my left side with an LED version. I've bought several of these units, so my right side still has that bulb. I'll see how long that lasts. Interestingly, the LED I replaced the left side with is very, very similar to these. So close I forgot to switch the right side.

Great product, incredible price!

On my 2008 Prius the passenger side headlight went out and I decided to replace it myself. As I browsed the auto shops around me, I quickly discovered how expensive HID lights can be. Luckily I checked Amazon because they are a lot cheaper here. The lamps came undamaged and correspond to the description. Then I had to embark on an adventure to change a lightbulb, which as any Prius owner knows is no easy task. I decided to swap both sides since I had 2 bulbs anyway. The new bulbs were identical

I LOVE these headlights!

These headlights are BRIGHT and of excellent quality! We had a 'flickering' headlight problem on the 2007 Prius where the headlight would dim heavily or just turn off. Received an offer from dealer for a replacement - over $250! Outrageous! I was told to buy a specific brand and not skimp on the price but they were less than half the price so I figured what the heck and gave them a try. Worst case they fail and I still buy the brand name. They have been in our Prius since August 2019 (now…

For 6000K color temperature order 8000K version!

later Update: after a few night rides the bulbs' brightness and color temperature are holding up, it's time to order more sets before they run out! I liked the HYB bulbs but got a couple of 6000K color temperature kits. Lamps with a very variable color temperature. The "old" 6000K D4R bulbs I ordered from HYB a year ago are brighter and whiter than the ones I recently ordered. After these failed orders I decided to try the 8000K version. After installation I found that they had a color…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • I'll add

The seller contacted me about my initial low one star rating and asked me to change it because he had sent me replacement bulbs. I upgraded my rating to neutral 3 stars because the seller sent a replacement without hesitation. Unfortunately the second bulb blew out before the replacement came and I had to go to the parts store and pay a lot more to drive legally. Unsafe, unreliable, not worth the risk unless you're keeping your car for less than six months. Edit: They aren't as bright/focused…

Release of the Toyota Prius 2007; 22 months to death with dead ballast

2007 Toyota Prius was replaced in April 2017 but wanted to make sure they would last before testing them. The dealer wanted about $1,000; The local store asked for about $500; I paid a mechanic to come to my house and install them for $35 which cost about $70. The dealer and local shop said the bumper needed to be removed, but I found a YouTube video that showed that was not the case. That didn't happen. The mechanic twisted one, but it was quickly fixed. The plug came loose after a month on…

Perfect fit for my 2007 Toyota Prius.

I bought this pair of HID bulbs to replace the original bulbs in my 2007 Toyota Prius. These replacement bulbs are perfect for replacement and provide excellent light quantity and quality. One of the lights in my Prius started blinking, which I took as a sign of impending breakdown. With over 98,000 miles on my Prius without a replacement I feel very fortunate. I learned that replacing a lightbulb at Toyota could cost $500 or more, and I was determined to take on the task. Replacing those…
