Doesn't drip and doesn't smell good to moisturize.

Perfect for my cross country hip pack, perfect for running 10 km (6 miles) for a refreshing afternoon on a hot summer day. This one doesn't leak at all and only has a slight new smell (most blisters do) but I was able to remove it after washing with mild dish soap at dawn where it doesn't bother me. I had to return the Kamlebak because it smelled so bad and bought this smaller bottle as a replacement. I love this hydro pack and this is my first. I would buy again in the future!

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish

  • Price

Almost perfect but there is a design flaw

Twist in the same direction as the lid to drink. As a result, unless you use two hands, the lid tends to come off when you try to drink from it. I bought this for homemade bike gels that can't be used with one hand. Otherwise, this container is easy to clean, doesn't retain too much flavor, and is just the right size to fit comfortably in a jersey. Of course, I only use it three times, so maybe it will get easier as I get used to it. At the same time, I can't talk about durability yet.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Design flaw for one hand use

In hindsight I should have realized that the design of this bottle for the cyclist was doomed. The top nipple is designed to be unscrewed through the mouth/teeth and the top of the filler unscrews in the same direction. Guess what happens if you ride at a pace, take a bottle, put it in your mouth, unscrew it half a turn with your mouth, look at the road and squeeze it out? Maple syrup explodes everywhere. It only gets two stars because it still works for runners/walkers (or cyclists at a stop)โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Surprised but I like the GU bottle more

This company makes the GU bottle but I like the GU specification a little more. I thought a round bottom (vs square) would be better but I don't see any difference in how it fits in my jersey pocket and the rounded bottom is harder to roll up (like a tube of toothpaste). Get a GU or Hummer. gel comes out. The main reason I like the GU bottle better is that it's thicker and softer. This bottle SEEMS (time will tell) that it will collapse at the end of the season for being so thin, although thatโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Elegant design
Cons
  • Volume

No leaks; very convenient!

I had some doubts about this concept; especially since it was touted as being able to be used as a larger than usual gel bottle. I'm an ultramarathoner who needs a concentrated supplement for long distance running and I usually use a 10 ounce hard bottle for this purpose which is really quite cumbersome in the front pocket of my hydration pack. I chose a soft bottle to replace this hard bottle hoping it would be more comfortable while running. I felt like it didn't exist at all as it fitted myโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Practical matter
Cons
  • So far so good
