Easily filled with rusty water. Nothing like the original.

Aside from being slightly cylindrical, this replacement doesn't look anything like the original I replace. In the photo, blue is old, white is new. Seems to fit fine. The box also shows a blue filter, but the current product listing shows a white filter. A few days of rusty city water with Camco TastePure water upstream was enough to use up both filters.

The white cartridge is a new version of the blue cartridge

Ordered this replacement cartridge for my HL-200. Although the blue original cartridge is pictured on the box, the cartridge in the box was white. I called Hydro Life customer service and the rep confirmed that a white cartridge is currently being manufactured. The decision to dispose of the old packaging was made for financial reasons. The representative also confirmed that this new white cartridge is installed with the large threaded end facing up.

These are two different filters - C2063 (Blue) C2471 (White) - Updated

Not sure what's up with them but bought the white ones thinking they would work . I just realized I could use my blue ones for up to 2 years and I've only used them 1 year at a time. Too late. I use white and the water quality is WORSE (difference in ppm - use a zero filter tester). I'm not sure what's going on but it seems the longer I wait the worse it gets. I don't know how long to filter water but I waited 5-10 minutes and it went from 100-200ppm with blue first to over 300 and now 400ppm…
