Hydrofarm AAPA15L Active Aqua 4 Outlet Air Pump - 6W, 15 L/min Flow Rate, Silver Review

I've had it for over a year and it still works reliably. It works with 4 dual sponge filters in 20 gallon tanks and I eventually scaled it down a bit. It's not quiet. but if you have a TV or a fan you won't hear it. I have two in my fish room and the bubbles and ambient noise are definitely louder than these pumps. Highly recommended.

It's louder than the one I had and I tried to find a quieter one. I didn't keep it, I returned it, so I don't know how long it would take. This is an average pump in terms of noise levels. I wouldn't want it in my bedroom at max power, but it's a lot quieter at lower power settings. The Whisper AP300 (my reference) is significantly quieter. I tested the performance by dumping a gallon jug filled with water into a bucket and seeing how quickly the air pump's maximum output pushed all the water out.
