Carbon block filter for a water filtration system. 2.5" OD and an overall length of 9-7/8". Coconut shell carbon filter media with polypropylene outer/inner wrap, end caps and netting. Particle retention size of 1 Micron. Meets ANSI/NSF Standard 42 certification for material requirements only.

Works tastefully for me

I think I like this filter better than the KX matrix I bought. Pure clear water from my filter under the kitchen sink. Good price when I clicked buy.

Great activated carbon filter.

Excellent carbon filter, it's hard to tell if one is better than the other unless one is very bad, but they didn't remove much free carbon and the water tasted very good , so I give them 5 stars.

This filter does its job

is a high quality filter. I use a 1 micron poly filter in the first step to remove rust and particulates, then this 1 micron charcoal filter for flavor. The first stage poly filter is about three times larger than 1 for carbon. I've been using Hydronix since December 18th. The price has gone up since then, but as has most things in this economy.

Great carbon filter, hard to say one is better than the other unless one is very bad but they didn't remove much free carbon and the water tasted great so I give them 5 stars.

this filter does the job

This is a high quality filter. I use a 1 micron poly filter in the first step to remove rust and particles, then a 1 micron activated carbon filter for flavor. Finally, replace the first stage poly filter about 3 times for 1 time for charcoal. I've been using Hydronix since December 18th. The price has gone up since then, but as has most things in this economy. it's still a great price

WARNING.! Stay away from it, there is more air in the filter than coal!

Very disappointing, the filter weighs very little. it has less carbon than my contact lenses. ! I would call it a homeopathic charcoal filter since they measured carbon in milligrams. :) Of course, the water flow will be impressive with your new homeopathic activated carbon filter. it has almost no carbon, it weighs almost as light as sediment paper cartridges.! Unless you're looking for impressive water flow just for the sake of it, steer clear of this cartridge and buy something heavier and…
