This filter does its job

is a high quality filter. I use a 1 micron poly filter in the first step to remove rust and particulates, then this 1 micron charcoal filter for flavor. The first stage poly filter is about three times larger than 1 for carbon. I've been using Hydronix since December 18th. The price has gone up since then, but as has most things in this economy.
