Used to replace the original carbon filter in my HO system. Actually it's better and cheaper than the original. Gallons of water flow through to fill the Remove residual carbon. Seems great afterwards. Should last longer than the original. I bought 3 of these to have one on hand if I need it in the future. I've also marked the install date so I know when I need to change it in future .

Pros
  • 1/4" NPT fittings
Cons
  • Long time use

Great as the final step in a reverse osmosis system

Used as the final step in a reverse osmosis system to restore the water's natural taste. Flushed first with a 1/4" sink faucet. Turned on cold water and ran 80psi water through for about 60 seconds. The water went dark for 10 seconds and then went clear. and the water tastes great. The reverse osmosis water and deionizing filter produced 0 ppm metallic flavored water. After this filter it tasted great with a slight increase in dissolved solids of 24 ppm.

Pros
  • Made from NSF certified coconut shell charcoal
Cons
  • Lightly shredded

Used to replace the original carbon filter in my HO system. It's really better and cheaper than the original. I had to run a few liters of water through it to clean it of soot. After that everything seems fine. Should last longer than the original. I bought 3 of these to have one on hand if I need it in the future. I've also marked the install date on it so I know when I need to change it in the future.

Pros
  • Water filtration and softening
Cons
  • Can't remember

Great replacement for my old leaky filter.

Perfect replacement for my ice maker. Rinse the filter for about five minutes until the water runs clear (removes loose carbon dust). Throw away the first batch of ice as it contained some charcoal dust. The ice cream tastes great (clear and no taste of city water). Love it. That will stay with me for a long time. The last filter was 7 years old before it cracked and started leaking. That should be enough for five years or more. Worth the price.

Pros
  • Replacement Water Filter
Cons
  • Vanish
