Super disappointed with it. I read so many air pump reviews before deciding on this one because it had the best reviews that I looked at. I only have a 10 liter tank. I do not need much. I don't even know if that's enough for a 1 liter tank. i will return it

Apparently there's a new air pump technology that uses a vibrating piezoelectric element to move air. This pump had the same old 60Hz hum and associated familiar vibration, so clearly not piezoelectric. There was no air intake, so no air escaped from the exhaust; The block turned out to be 100% sealed around the entire perimeter. Although relatively quiet I cannot recommend this pump and it's coming back!

I am using this aerator in my air garden after reading that aerating the water improves plant growth. Water moving almost continuously in the air garden and the sound of a pump. You can hear the bubbler above the sound of the garden pump, but I can't hear the aerator itself. The device is tiny and dangles from the included tube. This hanging installation also helps reduce the transmission of noise from the aerator to surrounding furniture.

I have noticed that my beta fish has been getting sluggish for the past week or so. The water filter/stirrer I had didn't help anymore. So I looked for a small water pump for him. It was easy to set up. And my fish love it. He's more active and likes to hang out at the bottom of the tank until he decides it's time to eat lol. The noise level is not quiet but sounds like a babbling brook which is a little relaxing. I don't know about the life of the pump as I've only had it installed for a week.

I have a 5 gallon aquarium for a male Betta. You may be able to fit this item in a 10 gallon tank but I would say it is best for a 5 gallon tank or less unless you are getting more than one. However, I do not recommend anything under 5 gallons for betta or other fish. I will update soon. I got this fish and an aquarium.
