Just fantastic! the best in HDD enclosures

Two brackets instead of one for the same price from Crucial. Slightly larger and stronger than Crucial. I don't remember the Crucial screws and they came with enough screws. As someone else pointed out, there was a margin in every pack of screws to deal with the almost inevitable dropping of a tiny screw. Also the hole spacing was a bit big as mentioned before but I was able to attach the side rails from my Raidmax Smilodon case to it. Then they just popped into the drive bay and clicked. I had

It's a joke: Hard Drive Accessories

Update: These Hymeca mounts have gone in the trash. I replaced them with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F3QFKNS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I've ordered them to use SSDs in a few $6k top games (each ) and graphics to install PC. The side holes did not line up with the tool-less HD mounting pins, which were 1mm from each side. The SSD mounting holes placed the drive so deep in the HD drive bay that my tight cables couldn't reach the drive connectors. I ended up…

Maybe I won't say caution, but I will say caution.

I'll get to the problem in a moment. The problem is that this adapter bracket is missing the 4 bottom mounting holes that all 3.5" hard drives have. It has holes to properly attach a 2.5" drive to the bracket, but the bracket in turn MUST be installed through the side mounting holes. Mounting options for all 3.5" drives include side and bottom brackets. All of these holes must be tapped for standard computer screw threads, which are #6-32. You must use the 3.5" holes for the bottom bracket…

I have no idea why Revain asked me to rate Clarity, Warmth or Thickness. It's a piece of bent metal! Either way, it's solid and works as a 2 1/2" to 3 1/2" drive converter BUT the installed drive geometry doesn't mechanically match the 3 1/2 drive layout. One of the pictures shows a 2 1/2 drive in place, but the 3 1/2" mounting holes make up the entire 3/4" assembly. If you have protruding bays as shown in the other picture this is not a problem. But if you have fully enclosed bays or ones that

Strong and sturdy, but not geared quite right for me.

later so these brackets are very strong and durable. I installed SSD hard drives in it and the holes lined up perfectly to fit the brackets. I ran into a problem when attaching the brackets inside the case. A regular hard drive fitted the holes in my case perfectly. However, this mount was offset by about 1/16 inch. It doesn't seem like much, but it's VERY difficult to get the screws back in place. Basically I had to force the screws in and then since either the mount is soft or my case is soft

Great computer parts and accessories

These items were perfect for what I needed. A few notes: POINT ONE: When I bought it I noticed that some other manufacturers use "non-standard" sizes for the screws that go into the adapter from the sides. This can be a problem when trying to fit them into a tool-less hard drive enclosure, which obviously uses the same diameter and spacing as standard 3.5" drives. Rest assured this unit uses the same screws as the hard drive and fits perfectly in my internal hard drive rack as shown in the…

mounting holes offer a lot of flexibility. The bracket is very well made, made of metal alloy with a slightly rough texture for better grip. I tried using the side holes and although it was crazy to work as there was a lot of space between the side of the bracket and the SSD. I've often dropped a screw trying to insert it through the side hole in the side of the SSD with the tip of a screwdriver. For me the holes in the base worked much better. I know someone else commented that they don't work
