Description of Hymnorq Cobalt Metric Enlarge Stainless

COBALT STEEL - Manufactured from solid M35 grade cobalt steel, with 5% cobalt added to create a hardened heat-resistant alloy, for much faster cutting and extra long life span. 12 STEPS - The step bit comes with 12 sizes ranging from 4mm to 13mm, so you can drill up to 10 holes of different diameters with one bit, saving you time and efforts to change bits. FOR STAINLESS STEEL - Ideal for drilling new holes or and enlarging existing holes on stainless steel as well as softer metals like iron, brass, copper, aluminum, etc. GOOD PERFORMANCE - The dual-flute design provides greater speed and control along with jam-free performance. The fast-start no-walk tip allows you to drill without a center punch. 1/4" HEX SHANK - Compared to bits with round shanks, this 1/4 " hex-shank step bit can be gripped more tightly by compatible drills and screwdrivers for greater torque.

Great Unibits at a great price

Wow. These little guys look great. I used one of these and since most unibits work they take a lot of power to get them working but once this git was cut it was like baatahh. They also come in a great little suitcase. I didn't give any stars for the longevity option because I just got it.

Pros
  • 12 STEPS - Stepped bits come in 12 sizes from 4mm to 13mm, allowing you to drill up to 10 different diameter holes with one bit, saving you time and effort changing bits.
Cons
  • Big and chunky

I like a step drill, but I didn't have a metric one.

Step drill bit are great for sheet metal as they cut curves (twist drills often cut 3-flute drills and will grab/pull as soon as you punch through the back) Sometimes total pitches are too large and drilling is a little more than ideal Metric sizes sometimes have good sizes missing sizes (like holes for nut inserts) There are many sizes in this set, in a way I wish the big one had a larger round shank (I don't think it's possible to rip off the small hex for strength or precision), but it does…

Pros
  • 1/4" HEX SHAFT. Compared to round shank bits, this 1/4" hex step step bit can be gripped with compatible drill bits and screwdrivers for more torque.
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Hole size not exact

I bought these to make round holes in sheet metal for rivets. It was a bad choice. The drills are much smaller than they should be. For example, a 9mm hole is 8.70mm, 8mm is 7.65. Thus, a 9mm or 8mm diameter rivet will not fit through the hole. And using the next size up is totally unacceptable. I have to use standard bits to widen the hole so I can insert the rivet. Note: The size of the rivets is usually smaller by about 0.1mm to make room. I would return them except my return window expired…

Pros
  • COBALT STEEL - Manufactured from hard M35 Cobalt Steel with 5% Cobalt added to create a hardened super alloy for faster cutting and extra long life.
Cons
  • Long delivery time
