The design is dangerous for your hearing.

What? I do not hear you! πŸ€£πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ Although the whistle is really loud, it's loud right in your EARS! The design of the whistle will NOT spread the sound in front of you. Instead, the air/sound holes are entirely on the sides of the whistle, and if you blow hard on the whistle, you'll have ringing in your ears! blows. I do not recommend this whistle design. Dangerous for your own hearing.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Not sure

I think it's best to use this product in a jar.

I haven't had the courage to blast that thing at full volume yet. Even with free earplugs. I find this product is best used with a can of compressed air as an early warning device in a Home Alone or New York Alone situation. It is very loud. 3 different sounds to stun you. It's in my wild animal bag; just in case I need rescue from the MOON. The moon is considered a desert, right? I bet NASA could blow this thing up if I was in Home Alone 7: That Movie on the Moon! Location.

Plastic hazard to yourself.

I bought this because it was said to have the loudest whistle. I'll whistle it very loud if you're the one blowing it. My son and I tested it on each other without the included ear tips. When we got it we were excited, he blew first and I thought he was doing it wrong because it wasn't loud but he claims his ears were ringing. So I turned and blew hard and sure enough my ears were ringing. The noise seems to return to the fan. Now we were only a few feet apart and the person who didn't blow had

Good emergency whistle, not bad for a lifeguard

I bought this whistle as a new whistle while I'm a lifeguard as the building is often quite noisy and I sometimes need to get people's attention. PROS Very loud - my ears are ringing after blowing and I like floating - obviously good for the CONCL pool and still able to make all the sound. Mouthpiece - it's hard to get the whistle tight and still blow hard, I also have to clamp it with my teeth which is uncomfortable. The full sound is directed to the side - the whistle is usually louder from…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • I'll keep quiet

Louder than hell! good for camping and hiking

i teach skydiving and while hollywood would have you believe that it's easy to have a whole conversation in freefall, it's not - 150nm winds an hour is usually pretty noisy. For fun, I started buying all the "magic whistles" that came my way and freefalling them with friends, thinking we could use a simple code for a few things just for us to give a line of communication without requiring direct visibility. I've tried everything - Fuchs 40, Sturm etc. I haven't tried the Hyperwhistle yet…

Pros
  • free for educational purposes
Cons
  • everything is fine

Yes, it really is the LOUDEST whistle in the world

I bought this whistle because I work in a high school. If there's a student fight, we'll get reinforcements. All have normal sports whistles. They work well for calling for help and quite well during gameplay. HyperWhistle is a game changer. A fight broke out on Wednesday. I turned on the afterburner to stop him. I blew my whistle when I was about seven feet from the struggling students. They were so shocked at how LOUD the whistle was that they stopped fighting! I tried to lead both students…

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
