It's well made, very easy to use. My dogs can definitely hear it. Just her. they do not care. Now my dogs are incredibly aroused so this might be more effective for yours. It just wasn't for me.

This is a portable battery operated ultrasonic high frequency dog trainer. The high frequency is above what the human ear can hear, but please understand that it is dangerous if used too close to another person's ears. My dog responds to this trainer the same way it would to a clicker. It takes time and practice to use this device properly, it's not perfect.

Advantages: Easy to use, two buttons to prevent unwanted behavior, efficient. Both of my dogs respond to this and quit. The Bad: My only dog really doesn't like it and will hide, which is a reaction I don't like, so I use it very sparingly. She doesn't whimper but definitely puts her in a very submissive mood. Conclusion: I really think it's a simple, effective tool and useful when it comes to dealing with unwanted behavior.

Wow this works great with my maine coon cat for a little over a year - he loves to scratch closed doors every night. Nothing worked until we got it and honestly it works so well I can push a button from the living room and point it down the hall when it starts scratching. He'll run away and stop it.
