Combined with the Vanmass cordless phone holder, the Proclip mount and some washers this is the perfect phone holder for my car. The metal turned out to be strong and very durable.

I used screws to attach this to my Z3 and all went well. The only problem is, as others have mentioned, the ball is loose. Seems to have something to do with temperature. My plan is to lightly texture the ball by hand using the knurling tool.

This adapter was just what I needed to install my phone mount. I have an iOttie iTap 2 Wireless Dash Mount but wanted to mount it to a bracket rather than a suction cup on the dashboard. I found a simple custom mount for my Jetta sports car. This adapter easily attaches to the bracket with the included nuts and bolts. I removed the iOttie phone mount from the suction cup adapter and onto this adapter.

I bought this metal version after another company's plastic version finally broke after years of use. Since this one is made of metal, it will most likely stand the test of time. I've been trying to find a replacement for a while and I'm glad I searched for Revain and found this product. I didn't even know there was a metal option until I found a few at Revain. Definitely spend a few euros more and buy the metal version. Plastic will fail sooner or later.

I read the reviews with skepticism and wondered if I should even use the pair I ordered. When they arrived I was pleased to find a 100% metal block made up of a plate and ball and even has a small set screw that screws into the ball's shaft from the back of the plate. The diameter of the ball appears to be slightly smaller than the advertised 17mm, but is sufficient for most devices except for my Garmin Montana 650T. I will be ordering two more of these for my GPS friends and family.

I love the concept, the positioning and functionality would be amazing IF the bullet actually held the GPS in place. I parked, sat down normally, as soon as you start moving it stops. So I like this idea, I like the construction, but the ball doesn't fit well in the Garmin base. If they improved the interface to stay in place, that would be great. But for me it was a waste and now sits unusable in the glove compartment.

This rating refers to the version with the aluminum ball. Pros: The quality is good. It comes with everything you need to install it and the installation was easy. Cons: Although the ball has a few grooves, the surface is still quite slippery. Even if I rotate the clamp ring on the phone stand/charger (iOttie One Touch), the stand still moves fairly easily. I can use a file or something to roughen up the surface, or maybe plastidipate the ball to give it some texture that the cradle can take.
