This is a poor quality product and does not meet the manufacturer's lightning protection claims. The connector is loose and wobbly when inserted and does not maintain a coherent signal connection, often breaking contact without movement. I had to buy a branded product even if it costs twice as much.

I was particularly pleased that it worked well on my Dell XPS435T with Windows 10 without installing additional software. I was able to set up and use system functions. The only issues I had was that the hub gave a power error when the computer was turned off, even though the computer itself was off. As I bought it for my laptop it wasn't a big problem as not only does the laptop shut down but everything disconnects from it. it told me that I would be careful using it on older computers.

I like the size. It's not bulky. The downside for me is that it doesn't charge most of the devices I have and the ones it does charge very slowly. I got this device to charge my vape devices, phone and iPad Air that I have. I just needed more USB ports because there aren't enough of them on my desktop computer. Unfortunately it's not very efficient for charging different devices I have.

This powered hub works well with any USB 3.0 or 2.0 device that I connect to it. I've tried external hard drives, memory card readers, and flash drives. The power cord is long enough to be plugged into a computer on a desk on the floor. Please note that the cable that connects to the computer is quite short, but the main thing is performance.

This product will separate randomly and you will need to unplug and plug back in for items to work again. He does this about every 5 hours and randomly. There is a USB flash drive and a new wired keyboard and mouse are attached to it. So I don't use much power and the problem isn't the connection to the laptop. This device is the only item with the problem. I recommend another brand

The hub is thin and works when transferring data, I will give it to him. However, they have cut corners in the power structure and it shows. There is NO reflux diode on your computer's USB port for +5V and GND. This means that the power lines of the USB cable can short out to your computer when you connect its power adapter. This shouldn't happen, most computers are protected against this (note that this is a protection against bad design), but simpler devices like the Raspberry Pi 4 are not…

I use this with my microsoft surface laptop. I can plug it into the USB port on the surface to power it and it still works with an external hard drive and mouse. I can also power it from an outlet at my desk. I haven't had any problems with that. I would recommend.
