IFJF Harmonic Balancer Install Installation Review

Your installer did a great job I added a thrust bearing that I already had. For my use, I could not have asked for my item better. B.Berry good price!

Be sure to lubricate the threads before use. Thread tight threads fully by hand only. Works perfectly. I was able to use it with a wrench and easily install the LS crank pulley.

Works as expected. I tried using a rented long range harmonica installer, but the stem was too long for the nut to tighten with the socket. This tool was the perfect length and worked flawlessly.

This tool is strong and long enough to fit into the crankshaft and has enough threads to tighten the crank. The crank opened without heat and was easy to depress and the tool removed with ease.

I wanted to put my balancer in for a restoration. Inquired about tool rentals at local parts stores. It's hard to believe the only installation tool they offered was for older engines. I didn't want to rob the bank by buying a tool that I would only use a few times. This tool has done its job and will do some more. Just lubricate the threads and there will be no problems.

This was enough time to start installing the Harmonic Balancer. I half installed it and then tightened it with an old screw. I was afraid of slowing down in the crankshaft. In my opinion the bolt didn't look strong enough to withstand the force required to drive the balancer. I could be wrong, but I didn't want to risk it.
