Igaging 400 D69: High-Resolution Electronic 2-Position Measuring Tool Review

It hasn't been used in real life yet, but I took it to work and tested it in the calibration lab. I zeroed it on a granite slab and tested accuracy to within 1 inch using calibrated caliper blocks of various sizes. Each unit used showed exactly the same readings. The blocks used are calibrated, comparison below. 0.2505 read "0.375" 0.3750 read "0.500" 0.5005 read "0.850" 0.8505 read "1.000" 1.0000 read surface plate returns to 0.

Perfectly accurate compared to my Kreg Router desk adjustment rods; I've tested 1/2", 1/8" and 5/16". Others wrote that their battery died on arrival and they needed to install the second battery from the box. Apparently the folks at IGaging read the comments and made the necessary changes. When I received mine both batteries were disconnected from the display to keep them from running out of power during storage and shipping.
