Ok something is going wrong so I understand why there are some negative reviews but overall this item is really great. I found it accurate and reproducible with good performance. First, the battery is easy to insert. Slide the cover off, remove the small rubber insert, insert the battery, reinsert the rubber insert (note where the tab goes) and replace the cover.
