Description of πŸ“ Precision Woodworking Micro-Adjustable iGaging Wheel Marking Gauge with 1/32" & 1 mm Scale

Fine Micro-Marking Adjustment. Precision machined solid-brass body and knurled lock nut. Brass head with 6" steel shaft. Graduated 1 mm / 1/32 inch increments for easy reference. Can be used as a depth gauge. Great for quick measurement transfers. Free-spinning super sharp wheel cuts wood fibers, doesn't tear them.

So far so good for the marking tools

After looking at several marking tools I settled on this one. The price is in my price range and it comes with a spare tire. I received it in the mail, it's easy to use and has a micro-adjustment function. Can't comment on longevity yet as I've only had it for a few weeks. If anything breaks or changes I will update this review.

Blunt edge in marking tools

The quality of the tool is OK except for the edge which is very blunt. So I figured I'd sharpen it and be ready, but the blade edge is too thick to sharpen without removing much material. For comparison I have a Veritas dual wheel marker that comes out sharp and with a little work on the whetstones the edge comes out very sharp.

Great Value Marking Tools

This review is for the iGaging Micro-Adjust Marking Gauge. This sensor is well made. The fence (the round brass part that you lean against the side of the workpiece during use), the fine adjustment part, and the beam (the steel rod that the fence slides on) are well machined and polished. The lasered markings on the bar could be a bit deeper, but are more than adequate for the intended purpose. These marks are surprisingly accurate (I didn't expect that from a budget mark sensor). The micro…
