Not Solar/Wind Copper Wire

I had to cut this wire and found all the strands are silver so it's definitely not copper wire as advertised. It's 10 gauge, but the description is wrong and you shouldn't buy it if you absolutely need 10 AWG copper.

POOR INSULATION ALUMINUM WIRE

Very inferior product. Not recommended for use with solar panels. The product uses aluminum wire instead of the COPPER wire required for solar panels. the plastic insulation breaks off when exposed to heat and does not adhere to the wire.

Happy to find the 10 AWG connector

. I actually bought this cable to extend the cables on my Renogy solar panels and connect to my RV's Zamp jack. (cut/solder/shrink tubing). Renogy wire is 10 AWG and it was pretty much the only way to get a proper plug of the same gauge. Also replaced the Zamp connector with a 10 AWG block as it was only 8 AWG but that is a different product.

Decent cable for the price

This is a thick and stiff cable which may limit some uses. Some reviewers claim that the wire is aluminum and not tinned copper. Maybe they have a different cable, but I have a copper cable. How should I know? Checking the weight per foot. The cable precisely meets US specifications for copper wire weight per foot. Aluminum is three times lighter, there is no room for error.

Incompatible Coupler Heads

I purchased this item to extend an Atwood 14367-6 trolling motor quick coupler kit I bought a few weeks earlier. Judging by the Revain photos, the black connector heads looked the same in both kits. When I received the extension cord, I was surprised to find that the head was over 20cm narrower than the trolling motor cord head, so it "doesn't fit". The extension cord looks high quality. Please note that not all black quick connectors are necessarily compatible. The trolling motor connectorโ€ฆ

excellent cable. Hats aren't for everyone. But be careful! The instinct is to choose the parts you need, regardless of the seller. In my case I got this, then a ring connector on the cable from another vendor, then a quick connect to cable from another. And that's why you need to check. NOT all combinations of red and black are suitable for each other. An example at the ends are quick connectors. So make sure you do ONE COLOR on both ends of each piece! So if the metal connector on the sameโ€ฆ

Perfect fit for our solar solution

Our motorhome is fitted with an SAE solar connector on the side. The goal is to plug the cable into the side port and to the portable solar panel. All wires must be 10AWG to protect against power loss. Here is the solution: RV -> "This cable" -> SAE-to-DC8 cable -> Solar panel. . Sometimes they are not clearly marked. Then use this cable's gender changer to change the gender of the connector (if necessary) to properly connect it to the side connector. There isn't an industry standardโ€ฆ
