Bought these for my kids for Christmas and they love them. Color options are neat. The instructions and figuring out how to actually install them is a bit tricky until you get the hang of it. The downside for me is that when I wake up at night I can't read the time, just by turning my head to check, I have to reach out and turn on the lighting effects to see it, which is a bit annoying in the middle of the Night. The amount of clock radios on the market is overwhelming, but I had certain criteria to meet my needs; Compact size, good radio reception and the ability to turn off (or significantly reduce) the backlight. iHome makes three similar models, but this one appears to be discontinued as it can no longer be found on the iHome website.
