Perfect, just what I needed

allowed me to connect the trailer to my Ural. Simple but brilliant. Now you don't have to get your mind off it, they already have and it's an easy connection. It costs twice what they charge just to save time inventing and imagining.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Lack of insurance

Easily converts a 5 pin to a 4 pin connector with enough wires included

Had to change my Harley's trailer wiring harness to a 4 pin without having to buy another $100 wire harness. This easily converted 5 wires to 4. The colors of the wires on the bike are different so I labeled them before unplugging the 5 pin connector and then using a test light to test and verify each one.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Ideal for motorcycles!

I couldn't find a ready made trailer light cable for my motorcycle so I decided to give it a try. Works perfectly with my small caravan. I'm a mechanic so I didn't mind running cables and such. But I warn you, unless you have patients who need to figure out what wires to connect a bike to, make sure you find someone who does. All in all it took me about half an hour.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Updates

Great deal on a generic to replace my existing failed module

Best deal I have found to date to replace my existing failed module from U-Haul. The nice thing is that uhaul's original was model specific and had a factory connector so it didn't cut into my car's wiring. So, after about a year and a half, one of the diodes in the turn signal to the trailer failed, so I just cut the wires downstream, got this universal module, and wired it up for a quick, clean, and easy fix for about $10.

IIT 16690 Trailer Converter

Most Toyota Land Cruiser FJ-80 models come with a factory fitted trailer converter. There are no options for this SUV. Mine decided to take a break from signaling the trailer. So I decided to change it. I chose this one because I wasn't wrong about which wire goes where as the legend is printed right on the case. It is easy to install and requires no programming - just good wiring practice and DO NOT use wire nuts in vehicles in wet areas. It's good practice to solder and shrink the wires.

Pros
  • Dream Come True
Cons
  • Negative Torque Present

Exactly what I needed without the added cost and hassle!

If you are looking for a converter (your car has separate brake lights and turn signals) then look no further. You'll find other converters that require a separate 12v signal and cost $40-$50, which means you'll have to tear your car apart by running a long wire to the battery's positive terminal. Not this one! Just make five simple connections on your car's wiring to the taillight housings and you're done. No fuss, no irritation, etc. I've tried this harness on 3 different trailers, all with…

Pros
  • great product
Cons
  • almost everything is ok

Great product, real value.

This is another product that could use some better guidance. However, it does exactly what it says on the tin - it converts a five-wire car harness into a four-wire trailer harness. Once you figure out which car wires are which (left turn, right turn, running light, brake light, and ground), the rest is easy. PRO: Long wires; Leads are well labeled; Insulators seem solid; The product works as promised. CONS: Especially for those who are new to automotive electrics, more explanation and guidance

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Replacement Availability

Works great and gets the job done

Bought this for my girlfriend's dad for his Harley as I bought an extra trailer wiring harness but didn't realize he had to go from 5 wires on his bike (left signal, right signal, brake lights, running lights and ground) to 4 wires (left signal plus brake, right signal plus brake, running lights and ground) for his trailer. We looked around and the wire harness manufacturer sold the converter for $40-$50. I said no and found it. Perfect to install. really easy to connect if you have basic…

Decent quality and thoughtful length choices - 2ft for the entry side.

I was surprised how difficult it was to find a simple 5 to 4 wire connector. Even the local RV said they had to order it and wanted $37! My local Autozone or O'Reilly should have ordered it too, but one of them had it in stock but cost about $26. Then I went to Amazon and ordered it. No problem except my soldering irons, but we don't go there. I bought this to replace my 18 year old plug on my 1997 18 year old Saturn SW2 that had some of the pins worn out. I unsoldered the old connector…
