Batteries work properly. It was a replacement part with the correct number but the connector was slightly higher than the batteries in the phone which caused a problem refitting the battery cover. I had to press hard to close the lid tightly. This happened with both cordless phones.

This is the second set I've bought and they will be the last. Bought them in May 2018 and they worked fine until about mid-September 2018. Now 5 months later one battery is barely charging after being on the charger all day and the other is now only showing 2 lines of charge after being undisturbed. charge all day. I will try another company next time.

I have an AT&T portable phone and an older base model. And my battery stopped charging. After looking at the battery model in my phone and comparing the portable phone batteries available, I bought 2 of these batteries to replace one with a spare. You know the story. You buy a quality product and use it for a few years and then it starts to fade on you. Phone disconnects, doesn't ring etc. etc. So you're thinking about maybe buying a brand new phone or giving up your cordless landline phones and just using cellular even if you don't actually get cellular service on your phone. A house. After a while you think, well, maybe it's just the battery. OK. I'm risking a few dollars. and viola! It works like new. Problem solved.

It seemed like a perfect replacement for both of my original phone batteries. I have carefully matched the part number (BT162342) and connector polarity to ensure these are the correct replacement parts. The specs say 600mAh per charge - double the claimed lifespan of my originals (300mAh). However, when I received them, one battery wouldn't even charge, so I put the old battery back in.
