I thought this set was great until today when I was cutting a piece of meat (partially frozen but certainly not cement) and about a 1/2 inch blade broke off now I'm hesitant to continue using other knives. I have owned the set since November 2017 and have only used most of the knives a few times. I have other knives that I "get stuck" on, so sometimes I just grab one of those. I liked how they displayed and matched my newly upgraded lights. My old knives stay hidden in the shame box.

These knives are fine. For the price you really can't complain. We bought these as a starter kit for our first apartment and they are great in that regard. A note: scissors are a type of junk. They cut and work well but the rubber pads fall off very easily. Also, these knives are prone to rusting, so be aware and do not clean them in the dishwasher. The sharpener is fine. The paint on the handle flakes off easily on the edge where it meets the blade, which isn't a big issue for me. The packaging is loose and my knives have fallen out of small boxes, but each knife is individually wrapped in plastic to prevent scratches. They cut normally, but not professionally. I haven't used the scissors enough to comment on this, but I would recommend hot-gluing the rubber in the handles and hand washing them. I haven't used the sharpener yet.
