The polishing pad would be much better if it was twice as thick as it is now; The velcro is not fixed well in the base, which affects the polishing ability.

Ideal for grinding discs etc. I like having spares where I can keep a variety of abrasives on hand when I need them which reduces disc wear. (Note: These are pads. They do not have shanks that fit a drill.) Arrived in 10 days with other goods.

Sometimes you need more distance from the polisher to the surface. I bought them to achieve this. The downside is that you decrease performance from machine to pad as you use them. So be wise in using them and avoid them if possible.

For me this is a life saver. I had to sand the (concave) inside of the bowls and I don't have a 2" random orbit sander. I've been content with my Proxxon angle grinder, which only spins, but the hard edge of the sanding pad always leaves a mark. Paper is so-so. I've tried using it to polish knife blades but couldn't keep even the finest sandpaper from swirl marks. Part of this I think is due to the fact that the whole system is unsuitable for use on a grinder. It may be better suited for slow speed drilling. Also, the foam pads began to tear in the center after a short while on a 90 degree reduced pressure air motor. The foam pad also seemed to "grow" as I rotated it and I think that made it easier for the sandpaper to grab an edge…
