After buying a new induction cooker I was advised to buy silicone burner covers. I did and I'm very happy about it - the stove and pans stay clean and shiny! These pads look like a good idea and are well made but there are radial ridges on either side of the pad making it too thick. Just enough to raise the pan 1/8 inch above the glass surface and the pan does not heat AT ALL on my GE Profile induction range, which is the highest rated range.
