We bought this to protect our new induction cooker along with another product: Baker Silicone Cooking Mats (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07B5XHHWP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00 ?ie= UTF8&psc= 1). We were particularly concerned about how the functionality of these rugs would be compromised by cast iron cookware, which can get very hot. So we took a chance with the Handy Fox, although it didn't have any reviews at the time, as it claimed to withstand higher temperatures and also used fiberglass as one of the material components. The good news is that cast iron cookware doesn't char. Once you remove it, you will see the pattern of the mat on the glass surface. We were able to wipe it off quite well with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth. We also try not to test the mats at full power and lower them if the pan gets too hot. So far so good with both mat types. We've had it for less than a month and are cautiously giving it two thumbs up. We're keeping our fingers crossed that we don't have a melted mess on our induction hob.
