I was very disappointed with the clamping of each curl and the curl itself. This was after they were in my hair for about 10 minutes ( hold it very still so it doesn't fall out). You can see I had very few curls even with my curling iron. The last photos are of my old 20 year old Clairol Mist rollers which my husband patched up to make them work. Having used Conair's "pink" set (Xtreme Instant Heat with heated clips) for many years I didn't know what to expect from these reels. In comparison, they are slightly larger in diameter than the pink set. The retractable cord is AMAZING (everyone should have one, right?). . .
