Definitely outstanding quality on any Ingersoll Rand product. The boot appears to be thick rubber and looks like foam. Ideal for absorbing shock when you drop your bludgeoning weapon. Definitely recommend if you want your instrument to look like new

Very fast delivery. I have purchased numerous IR boots in the past and have found them to last for many years without issue. They stand up to abuse and harsh in-store chemicals without deteriorating. It does not interfere with the operation of the tool and provides access to the grease fitting. For added protection I add an inch piece of heatsink around the base of the handle as a bumper. Quite expensive but worth it for the level of protection.

The air blast it goes through is expensive work so of course you want it to be clean and protected. The non-slip rubber keeps oil as light as dirt and keeps its color beautifully. I don't know how they managed to save it from all the dirt on my hands, but I'm not complaining. It won't stop much impact if you drop it on concrete, but it will prevent an awkward groove from forming where it lands.
