Poor fit for CV boot tools

I heated this boot to put my 2141 in hot water and it barely fit! I thought I was going to break my back but it didn't happen. I like that it's sealed, but they should include instructions on how to warm it up before installing it.

Pros
  • Keeps tools clean and protected
Cons
  • Slightly torn

sits like a glove! c Tools and Equipment

Fits like a glove! I'm not sure why everyone says it's difficult to put on the body of a 2141 gun 20 seconds or less with a heat gun and it's included! If one guy has a problem with that, you have other problems lol!Nice and thick.Great looking.

Pros
  • Package Dimensions: 7"L x 3"W x 3"H
Cons
  • Repair

Use a heat gun for tools and equipment

Yes, this lid fits just right. Really tight. Hit it with a heat gun until it's very soft and immediately slips off. I still left a tiny tear in the right back corner, but that doesn't matter and you hardly see it. The case is what sets my 2141 apart from the shops, so I'm pleased.

Pros
  • Bright red makes finding tools easier in a busy store
Cons
  • Some trouble

difficult to install - CV Boot Tools

I ordered one of these off Amazon for just a few bucks! fantastic price! I warmed up the boot in hot water and then dried it, which softened the rubber a bit! The trick is to apply a small coat of liquid shampoo to the inside of the front of the boot hole. This is done so that the top front hole in the boot slides over the front of the shock! Once the front opening of the boot is fully in place, you can slide the back of the boot over the back of the kick! That requires a strong pair of hands…

Pros
  • Made in China
Cons
  • Reliability
