Not covered by warranty

When purchasing this product, both connecting cables (RCA adapter and digital optical cable) are not working. The cinch adapter has a short circuit and the sound cuts out after a few minutes. A sheet of digital optical cable with a broken end. When I contacted Serene Innovations to get the new cables, they told me I had to buy them and sent me a link to purchase them. There is no point in buying a product and then buying replacement cables to make it work. Not a very good guarantee.

Confusing directions!

It took me some time to figure out which of the seven installation options I should use and I'm pretty tech savvy! The sound on the network TV is good but I still can't figure out how to connect it to my streaming channels. Shame as I spend most of my time browsing Roku. I tried going online to the Serene Innovations website but couldn't find an answer. UPDATE - WORKS! Thanks to the Q&A section on the product page. Buy this product! Difficulty watching TV will change the way you watch (and listen to) TV.

Definitely one of the best purchases I've ever made! I have had hearing problems on television for many years. Turning up the volume didn't help. Then I saw this product with no reviews and decided to risk it. Just connect the base station to your TV. You can then place the speaker where you need it. The sound quality doesn't stay good for very long.

The product worked fine for about 3 months, then the sound quality sounded like squeaky and under water, difficult to understand. We bought 2 units so switched off the first transmitter for the second and plugged 2 speakers back into the newer transmitter. The speakers worked great again with the transmitter on, this time for 2 months, after which the sound quality was terrible again. Tried to switch from digital optical cable to RCA cable, doesn't work at all. Tried going back to digital…

For the hard of hearing TV viewer, it really WORKS!

To be honest I didn't expect this to work. My mother wears hearing aids and her main complaint about the TV was that she couldn't "hear" what was being said, no matter how loud it was. She used subtitles which, if you've ever tried to use them, are sketchy at best. When this product was recommended to me, I thought why not give it a try. It works fine, the sound from the speaker is fine

I've been using it for a few months and I use it every day. Works perfectly, the sound from the speaker is ok. I plug it into a specific outlet instead of using a charger, then move the main unit to where I need it. It stays close to where I sit and watch TV. Great remote control for the hearing impaired

This is fantastic! I bought this for my elderly mother who I lost so she can hear the TV without turning the volume up to 100. The base unit sinks with the TV, then pull out the speaker and place it next to you on the coffee table or desk, and you can completely mute your TV and just pick it up on a distant speaker right next to you for them to hear. Great portable audio/video gift

Got this for my dad as a Christmas present this year. My father is in his 70's and often finds it difficult to hear things.
