As a former professional installer who has done a variety of custom installs from carpet to suede and paint, this is the carpet we would use. It's not too thick and has no backing, which makes it very stretchable around the corners. It won't stand up to abuse or heavy use, but you probably won't encounter it installing it when you buy it. Suitable for most black factory carpets.

This is not a true 40" width. It may be stained, but it has a wavy edge. If you expect it to cover a 40 inch width, buy something else. It's not as wide as the carpet. It's more like covering lower door panels, speaker boxes etc. Very thin compared to real car carpet. Will i buy it again? For speakers yes. For car floor covering no.

I read a few reviews and some of them weren't suitable for carpet. I have to say it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. This is the carpet fabric I used to replace the main carpet in my Classic Mini. I did NOT want a hard backed rug because it would be difficult to shape and cut. It was flexible and easy to cut and glue with spray glue. I also don't recommend laying this rug on the bare metal of the car, I lay the padding down first and then lay the fabric over it.

i have never carpeted anything and i made my subwoofer box and it worked great it looks really good the carpet is nicer and thicker than the finished box i got from the store down the street from me i lay the seam on the floor like a prefabricated box and the prefabricated seams are flipped because i actually use my trunk/truck.
