Good fuse holder suitable for fuses and accessories

I bought to install in my teardrop RV from the battery to the 2000w inverter. I bought a similar item from a company that makes solar panels and it starts with R and ends with ogy and it compares to this product much better and at a similar price. As long as it works great, no problems. Another product I returned.

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not suitable for 1/0 gauge oxygen-free copper wire.

The gaps in the plastic cover where the fuse wires pass are too small for 1/0 power cables. However, it will probably work fine for a 4 or 2 gauge. I had to cut the hole much larger to fit my 1/0 gauge oxygen free copper wire and it still fit snugly. I will be purchasing another ANL fuse holder in the near future.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Nothing here

good value for money

good value for money. My only concern is the plastic washer that sits under the cleats and holds them in place. if one of the washers is displaced, this will result in the pin possibly coming into contact with the mounting surface to which the fuse holder is attached. this can cause a short circuit. To eliminate this possibility, I made a spacer out of a 1/8" piece of plastic and placed it between the fuse holder and the mounting surface, which in my case is the metal body of the car.

Pros
  • inspires confidence
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

Fantastic product and price

Very durable product and well made. The fuses were on, making this an incredible deal. Installed an ACR Blue Sea Systems on my boat for a dual battery configuration and used these fuse holders for the battery cables that run from each battery to the ACR. Installation was quick and easy, for my installation I chose to place the cable clamps under the fuse rather than over it. For marine use I prefer waterproof fuse holders. As a last resort I ordered them and decided to make them permanent asโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Everything is great!
Cons
  • Negative gift

Very high quality fuse holder!

This is a better quality fuse holder than most cheap built in holders which normally use AGU fuses. An ANL fuse is more reliable, and screw terminals work best for holding the wires securely. It was a bit larger than I expected, with my caliper it measures 124mmL x 38mmW x 37.4H and the wire holes are about 20mm x 20mm, enough room for my 4 AWG wires. I would recommend being careful not to fall out the small pieces of plastic on the bottom as another reviewer mentioned. If they fall out beforeโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are problems

Warn Winch Heavy Duty Fuse

My Kubota RTV has a 4500lb Warn winch, but the Warn installation manual does NOT have chain protection plans. There is absolutely NO circuit protection, not even mentioned in the instructions. I don't like circuits without a fuse or circuit breaker. Since the winch can draw up to 300 amps at maximum exertion, I installed it to protect my car and investment. There is 4 gauge wiring in the installation which means there is a high risk of fire which could result in the loss of the vehicle if notโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Good Thing
Cons
  • Damaged

Mostly good; a big disadvantage

Nice appearance and good build quality. But there is one key downside. This clear plastic cover is pretty easy to put on and take off. In my opinion this is too easy. Bumps in the road or accidental contact are enough to knock the cover off. This cover isn't just for beauty; It should protect the two connectors from accidentally shorting to grounded components. For my setup (on a caravan) almost everything is grounded nearby, so without a cover, tool or other metal object it would be relatively

Pros
  • Durable surface
Cons
  • Without automatic control

The fuses don't seem to be properly rated.

Edit: So for the first time since installing it, I actually got in my truck and cranked it to 3,000 rpm. I've got a 150 amp one Blown fuse which I put in my 136 amp alternator. I've also noticed that both of the 100 amp fuses on my 90 amp heaters have blown. Not sure when they burned out, but I think it didn't work (cold enough to tell in a day). I'll try to remember to put the remaining 150A fuse on a 90A main heater and see if it blows. ok not really happy with fuses that blow so easilyโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • I don't really like it, it's ok
