Shame on the brand!

I have a regular Instapot pressure cooker and was excited about this new product. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. The slow cook function does not work. Even at maximum, it hardly heats up. This was on two separate occasions when I had to pour the contents into my old fashioned slow cooker. Very disappointed!

The temperature of the sous vide water always differs from the set temperature by no more than 1*.

I received this appliance today to do sous vide, I actually cooked 2 chicken breasts today at 146* for 4 hours. I compared the actual water temp with an instant read thermometer to the set temp and it was always within 1*. Not bad for a multi cooker. I will also use other functions. Jim.

Of course, this is NOT a pressure cooker! Instant is a trademark!

I don't understand the reviews complaining that this isn't a pressure cooker or not quite a pressure cooker! If you READ the description, its features are clearly stated there! And Instant Pot is a trademark. Yes, they make the famous pressure cookers, but they also make other products. READ READ READ folks! And yes, I love this Instant Pot as much as I love my Instant Pot.

Great for sous vide (ignore the reviews from those who haven't read the product description)

We really liked their pressure cookers (4, 6 and 8 liter) and needed a good slow cooker to fill our needs slow cooker. Cook. It offered a sous vide that neither All-Clad nor Cuisinart had. We have two sous vide immersion devices that work well, but aren't great for long runs of 24 hours (or more) due to evaporation (you'll need to cover the pot with foil). I've searched several times and the water level hasn't dropped all day. Highly recommended!

Overall a great product. but some dangers

Overall this is a great product. I want this product to consistently display the exact Fahrenheit it is actually cooking. It's frustrating to press HI or LOW and not know what it really means. Above certain temperatures, you can mess up your recipe. Below certain temperatures, you can mess up cooking. So why not let the user see what's really going on? That's called transparency. In cooking, this is called quality control. And most cooks do a great job knowing when the cooking cycle is and what

Updated - Unsatisfactory slow cook program! The baking program is also unsatisfactory!

update 1-25-21. Wanted to make fried potatoes. See drawing showing 314.8°F after 45 minutes set at 425°F. Another star away. It's so unfortunate. Money wasted on this machine. With the Instant Pot Aura, you can't count on precision. Stay away. Far, far away from this device. I bought an Instant Pot Aura to replace a slow cooker that had a lid seal. I'm just tired of messing around with the poetry. It was bulky and time consuming to wash, dry thoroughly and reattach. While it worked well…
