The thermometer works as advertised and appears to be fairly accurate. Overall, I'm glad I bought it and satisfied with its performance. What doesn't work for me is the card they put in the box to buy off people for 5 star reviews. That's not how reviews work and for that reason I don't want to buy anything from this seller again.

I will be wall mounting this above/behind my hob so it's always handy. My normal temperature sensors are twice the size and the others live in a drawer. It comes with a braided stainless steel probe cable that is strong but sturdy, but this thermometer accepts a flexible silicone probe cable from my other device. Works perfectly. Now I can buy another sensor cable if I want/need and am sure it will work.

Before use, read the instructions several times to learn how to set it up. It's more of a small computer than "plug and play". It's really nice that the thermometer stands on the table and you don't have to open the oven door to read it. The timer worked exactly at the temperature it was programmed for. and my prime rib was perfect; end to end. The only thing I would like better is that the backlight stays bright. I had a hard time reading numbers when the screen went blank.
