Cheap plastic, bad filter quality.

This took us a week to fall out of the tap. I put it back in, only for it to fall off again. The pacifier they give you is VERY CHEAP soft plastic. You can only refill it once or twice then you're done. Of course, there are no additional details with it either. While he was working I didn't notice much of a difference in the quality of the tap water. The Britta mug we have in the fridge definitely works better. I will not pay shipping cost for return so I lose about $15. live and learn

After less than 1 year of normal use this product will fail,

I have been using this system for several years and it has not been working for about a year. Because of my excellent service with this product, I have decided to buy it again. Started leaking after about 6 months of use. In other words, I got a double stream. It was a small stream at first, but over time the unwanted stream grew larger and larger to the point where it's difficult not to get a mixture of filtered and unfiltered water out at the same time. I changed the filter to make sure I…

waste of money.

If it were possible I would not put stars. I've had the exact same thing for almost twenty years and it worked like a champ. When it finally fell apart, I bought another one exactly the same. However, the new one doesn't seem to come close to the quality of the older model. It was going like crazy and I couldn't do anything about it. I took it off the faucet, put it back on, reread the instructions, took it off again, installed it again. NOTHING WORKED! I threw it away and bought the Culligan…

Good block but problem with plastic adapter ring

This filter block works well and I have been using this type of filter for over 15 years. Filtered water tastes better than without. The white block looks good in the kitchen, and the design of the filter block is easy to use, and changing the filter is easy. The only criticism (cannot get 5 points) for this device is that the manufacturer has replaced the adapter in which it is connected to the kitchen faucet with a cheap plastic material. If you twist the device too much, the adapter may…

. commercially available and never very happy with them

I have tried the commercially available Pur and Brita water filters and have never been happy with them. The price is too high and the attachment system is terrible. I took a chance because the design looked good and the price was good. I had a little trouble setting it up at first because it's harder than the others (which is actually a good thing). I thought it came with a small tool to tighten the first part of it before actually tightening the rest of the filter. After that it was firmly in

Pros

Cons
  • Nothing here

Review after a month of use: Plastic male adapter is now detached (attaches the filters to the Faucet. 15/ 16"-27M). The filter will no longer be attached to the faucet. I will buy a metal adapter with a male thread for durability. Quality control should switch to metal adapters because of the level of cheapness of the adapter that Can support the weight of the filtering device on the faucet rendering the product unusable and degrading an otherwise excellent product Downgrading from five stars…

Required parts are missing or not working

I've been using this faucet filter for over 30 years, back to when it was Waterpik. The first ones took 10 years, then about 5 years, and my last 2 instapuras took 6 months. Since I have 4 high quality filters left I thought I'd get another one just to have a look. Well, there wasn't a washing machine that matched the gray adapter that came with my sink. I tried any that came close to the size and the one that came with the sink. But they all splashed water. And the white assembly tool didn't…

Cheap plastic adapter breaks easily.

My significant other purchased this product to remove chlorine from our city water supply. I was skeptical about the cheap plastic hardware that came with it, and with good reason. After following the installation instructions and not using excessive force, the plastic adapter that connects to the end of the faucet broke off and will not reconnect. The water just splashed everywhere and when I tried to reconnect the adapter the threads broke and the entire filter fell off. Completely useless…
